The minutes of the May 4th and July 20th 2009 meetings were approved.
Director’s Report:
Kelly has submitted the ARIS (Annual Report Information Survey) to the MBLC. Most numbers were down because of the move and snow and ice days. The number of children’s programs held decreased, while attendance at these programs increased. Number of adult/YA programs tripled, and attendance at these programs increased 165%.
One of the shelvers left for college. Kelly posted the position and received 15 applications.
Kelly met with Town Treasurer Donna Madden to review changes in the library’s job descriptions. All changes endorsed by the trustees at their June meeting were approved.
Kelly has posted locally to see if any town boards or committees want any of the library’s surplus furniture. She received no replies, and will now post it statewide.
The Library ended FY09 with zero balances in all lines.
Donor Signage:
The trustees would like The Friends of the Bolton Public Library and the Capital Campaign to be at the top of the donor plaque in the new library.
Transition Committee:
The Transition Committee should consist of anyone who is left and willing from the LCC – it will meet monthly and go through punch lists. Kelly suggested also adding one member come from DPW, and also Don Lowe.
Grand Opening Committee:
Holly Plante has been added to the Grand Opening Committee. Meetings of this committee will begin once there is a firm date for the grand opening.
Meeting Room Policy:
The trustees spent the remainder of the meeting going over a draft prepared by Kelly for the meeting room policy.
The next meeting will be Monday, September 14th at 6:00 p.m. in the temporary quarters.
